Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan
On arrive at Zvartnots International Airport, Yerevan meet & greet, transfer to hotel, check-in hotel and rest, evening free for leisure walking tour of Yerevan city center: Republic Square, Northern Avenue, Opera House, Cascade Complex (panoramic city view)
Optional: Dinner at a traditional Armenian restaurant with folk music
Overnight stay at the Yerevan Hotel.
Day 2: Yerevan – Tsaghkadzor – Lake Sevan – Dilijan – Yerevan
After breakfast at the hotel depart for Tsaghkadzor, Armenia’s mountain resort, Visit Kecharis Monastery, Optional: Ride the Ropeway (Cable Car) for a scenic mountain view, Continue to Lake Sevan, the “Blue Pearl of Armenia”, Visit Sevanavank Monastery on the Sevan Peninsula, Proceed to Dilijan, known as “Little Switzerland of Armenia”, Visit Sharambeyan Street (old town) and Haghartsin Monastery, Return to Yerevan and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Vernissage Market
Breakfast at the hotel, Visit Garni Temple (1st century AD) – the only Greco-Roman pagan temple in Armenia, Visit Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site partially carved into rock, Return back to Yerevan.
Afternoon free for shopping at Vernissage Flea Market or GUM Market
Optional suggestion: Wine tasting tour or Cultural Dinner Show
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Yerevan – Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank – Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel, Drive south to Khor Virap Monastery – the closest point to Mount Ararat, offering spectacular views, Continue to Areni Village, the wine capital of Armenia, Visit Areni Wine Factory for a wine tasting session, Proceed to Noravank Monastery, surrounded by red cliffs, evening return back to Yerevan and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Yerevan – Tatev Monastery – Yerevan
Early breakfast and depart for Tatev Monastery (optional long day trip), En route, stop at Khndzoresk Hanging Bridge (if time permits), Ride the Wings of Tatev Cable Car, one of the world’s longest aerial tramways, Visit the Tatev Monastery, a masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture, Return to Yerevan by evening and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Yerevan – Echmiadzin – Zvartnots – Free Evening
Breakfast at the hotel, Visit Echmiadzin Cathedral, the spiritual center of Armenia’s Apostolic Church (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Continue to Zvartnots Temple ruins (7th century, UNESCO site), Return to Yerevan and evening free for shopping or exploring Yerevan nightlife.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to Zvartnots International Airport for departure.
